The Alabama Children’s Policy Council (CPC) system originated from the Alabama Juvenile Justice Coordinating Councils.
By creating a Children’s Policy Council for each county, Alabama has taken a comprehensive approach to helping its children and families.
Through county councils, the unique needs of each community can be addressed. At the state level, those local needs become the driving force for children’s policies.
Each county CPC works to identify needs in their area by gathering data from various state agencies and other sources.
We review the data and Madison County experiences collected through community surveys and listening sessions. This gives a clear picture of what is happening with children and families in Madison County
Working together, the CPCs can improve the lives of Alabama’s future, our children.
